ABOUT OUR FOUNDER

As a business leader for over 25 years, Michelle Pexa has successfully practiced as a management and performance consultant specializing in Conflict Resolution and Change Management in Workplace Cultures. She is a certified Mediator, Negotiator, and Change Management Practitioner.

In addition to providing conflict resolution services to a broad and diverse client base across various organizations, Michelle has designed curriculum, trained, and coached leadership at all levels. As a keynote speaker, she has shared platforms with key business leaders and government officials.

"My heart was filled with compassion for individuals in workplace environments where the chaos of change and unresolved conflicts took their toll," Michelle reflects. She became particularly aware of the impacts on high-capacity women in leadership roles who struggled without resources to effectively address conflict. "These women were burning out and bringing the strain of unresolved work issues into their homes at the end of the day." This awareness and conviction motivated Michelle to launch Peacemaking on Purpose. "I wanted to expand critical resources to all women who felt stuck in conflict situations, but I also wanted to bring faith and a biblical perspective into the training."

Michelle is an ordained minister, and alongside her husband Fred, they have served together as senior pastors and ministry leaders for over 35 years. As a gifted preacher, teacher, and dynamic trainer, Michelle has been a guest and keynote speaker in churches, conferences, and events across Canada as well as internationally. Together, Michelle and Fred have founded Kaio Ministries and Kaio International Development Solutions - a non-profit humanitarian organization. Michelle is also the host of Both Sides Now Table Talk, a talk show that launched during COVID with the mandate to facilitate difficult conversations on societal issues from both sides.

Michelle and Fred have three married children and seven grandchildren. They currently reside in Alberta, Canada.
